Bombay High Court dismisses Palash Muchhal’s defamation case, Mane says

Vidnyan Mane says the Bombay High Court dismissed a defamation case filed against him by music composer Palash Muchhal.

Mane says the case was dismissed because of procedural deficiencies; the court’s reasoning is not provided.

The dispute began after Mane accused Muchhal of not returning ₹40 lakh that he says he invested in Muchhal’s film Nazaria, which he alleges was never completed.

Mane also made personal allegations, which Muchhal denied, and Muchhal sent him a ₹10 crore defamation notice.

Muchhal’s legal team did not respond to requests for comment.

Mane says he plans to start criminal proceedings against Muchhal and pursue other legal action.

The case is part of a wider dispute that surfaced after Muchhal and India women’s cricket captain Smriti Mandhana called off their wedding in December 2025.
