Newmen launches wide carbon gravel wheels and plans larger sizes
German cycling brand Newmen has launched the Streem G.48 CS, a carbon wheelset designed for gravel bikes.
The wheels have a 48mm depth, a 45mm external width and a 27mm internal width, which Newmen says suits modern gravel tyres.
The top-end CS set weighs a claimed 1,390 grams and uses carbon spokes and Newmen hubs.
The wide rim is designed to handle impacts while limiting sensitivity to crosswinds.
Newmen plans to offer 30.5- and 32-inch wheel sizes in the future, alongside the current size range.
Neither version is available yet: the steel-spoke set is promised for spring 2027 at £1,250, while the carbon-spoke version is expected to cost £1,499.
