Prahaar earns ₹5.5 crore net in India over its first two days

Prahaar, starring Rajkummar Rao, opened in Indian cinemas on Friday and follows public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam.

The courtroom drama draws on Nikam’s career, including his role in the prosecution of Ajmal Kasab, the only surviving terrorist captured in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

The film earned ₹2.35 crore net in India on its first day, according to figures reported by industry trackers.

It collected ₹3.15 crore on Saturday, bringing its two-day India net total to ₹5.5 crore.

Prahaar is competing with other new releases, including Nayyi Navelli and Jailer 2.

Its opening was modest compared with Rajkummar Rao’s hit Stree 2, which collected ₹51.8 crore on its first day in 2024.

The film’s performance over the coming days will show whether it can attract more viewers.
