Blue Jays Re-Sign Lazaro Estrada to a Minor League Deal
The Blue Jays have re-signed right-hander Lazaro Estrada to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old has been with Toronto’s organization since signing with the team out of Cuba in 2018.
Estrada has appeared in 10 major league games across the 2025 and 2026 seasons, pitching 20⅓ innings in total.
He became a minor league free agent after Toronto designated him for assignment and removed him from its 40-man roster in August.
A shoulder injury sidelined him for about two and a half months this season.
Toronto has used him as a reliever in the majors, and he is expected to remain a depth option who can be called up when the team needs an arm.
Estrada has one minor league option year remaining, giving the Blue Jays flexibility to move him between Triple-A and the majors in 2026.
