Guizhou exhibition presents 116 works of traditional Chinese art

A calligraphy and painting exhibition opened in Guiyang on Oct.

29 at the Guizhou Art Museum.

It features 116 works by more than 100 creators, based on their visits and observations in communities across Guizhou province.

The exhibition is part of a program designed to bring traditional Chinese culture to local communities.

That program began in 2022 and has taken artists to schools, urban and rural communities, villages and other places across Guizhou's nine cities and prefectures.

Since it began, participants have created more than 800 works through field visits, art exchanges and other activities.

Organizers say they will continue making art rooted in everyday life and sharing it with the public.
