Whoosh Karawang station to get two new access routes

Indonesia’s high-speed Whoosh train station in Karawang is getting two new access routes from nearby areas.

KCIC is building one route through Trans Heksa Karawang and another from Deltamas, working with the government and other stakeholders.

The Trans Heksa route will be about 1.6 kilometres long, while the Deltamas route will cover about three kilometres via Cibeet Bridge.

People from Deltamas currently have to travel via the West Karawang Toll Gate because there is no direct route to the station.

The new links are meant to improve access for people in nearby industrial, business and residential areas.

From January to September 2026, about 258,000 passengers used Karawang Station, an average of around 1,000 a day.

Whoosh trains run hourly, and the journey from Halim Station to Karawang takes about 15 minutes; the new routes are under construction, with no completion date given.
