Holdout juror explains guilty vote in Lindsay Clancy murder trial
Michael Desronvil was the only juror who voted to find Lindsay Clancy criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children in Massachusetts.
Clancy's children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, died in January 2023, and she has said she killed them while arguing that mental illness meant she was not criminally responsible.
The other 11 jurors found her not criminally responsible, but the disagreement meant the jury could not reach a verdict and the trial ended in a mistrial.
In his first interview since the trial, Desronvil said he had no reasonable doubt and described Clancy's actions as methodical.
He said he had evidence for his position but would not discuss details while the case continues.
A judge rejected Clancy's request to be acquitted, finding there was enough evidence for a jury to consider criminal responsibility.
The judge set a November 2 hearing to discuss a possible retrial, but no new trial has been scheduled.
