David Bowie Immersive Concert Experience to Premiere in Berlin
A new immersive David Bowie concert experience will premiere in Berlin on Feb.
14, 2027, at the city’s Uber Arena.
Called “Stage,” it uses previously unseen and restored footage from Bowie’s 1978 tour, when he performed music from his album “Heroes.”
Filmmaker Brett Morgen discovered the original camera material while working on his Bowie documentary “Moonage Daydream.”
The David Bowie Estate is collaborating on the experience with Morgen and production company Wonderworld.
Projections, transparent screens, lighting and specially designed sound are intended to place audiences in the middle of a live performance.
The premiere is part of the Berlin Film Festival, which runs from Feb.
10 to 21, 2027.
The experience is also planned to travel to arenas in Europe and the UK, though further details are expected in the coming weeks.

What people are saying
David Bowie has bestowed upon us an extraordinary treasure — an unprecedented concert experience that has yet to be witnessed.
The Berlinale is a place where cinema, art and new forms of storytelling intersect.
I simply didn’t like the way it had been shot… Now, of course, it looks pretty good and I would suspect that it would make it out some time in the future.
