Rio metro offers free rides to Enem candidates on exam days

Rio’s MetrôRio is offering free rides to Enem 2026 candidates on the two exam Sundays, November 8 and 15.

The Enem is a national exam used by students seeking places at universities and access to education funding programmes in Brazil.

Free travel is available from 7 a.m.

to 11 p.m.

Candidates must show staff at the ticket gate both a MetrôRio student-fare card or Vale Educação RioCard and proof of Enem registration.

Showing only one document is not enough to qualify for the free ride.

On November 8, metro services will run on specified routes, with transfers between lines 1 and 2 available between Central do Brasil and Botafogo.

The exam can help students enter university through public selection and other admissions routes, and some private institutions accept its results instead of their own entrance exam.

Candidates should check their exam location on their confirmation card and follow the exam rules, which prohibit items such as phones and smartwatches during the test.
