Gerindra Names Banten Party Leaders and Begins Preparing for 2029 Election
Gerindra installed leaders for its branches across Banten at a ceremony in South Tangerang on Sunday.
Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the party’s daily chair, said the appointments were meant to strengthen its organisation and prepare for Indonesia’s 2029 election.
He urged members to work together to win that election and support President Prabowo Subianto’s government.
Dasco asked the provincial and local leaders to organise their campaign work by electoral district.
They are expected to meet residents from January to March next year.
Banten Governor Andra Soni, who also leads Gerindra in the province, highlighted provincial programmes including village road improvements and free high school education.
