Chery’s AiMOGA unveils robots for work, public services and homes
At the Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China, AiMOGA unveiled a range of robots alongside Chery’s vehicle technology.
The subsidiary presented Mornine and Molly for customer-facing work, and Mogard and Mocare for public safety and service roles.
Some of the robots already have uses in China: Mogard has worked at busy intersections, while the Argos Pro robot dog has guided visitors and delivered items at corporate events.
The lineup also includes Moqiong, a humanoid robot designed for heavy physical and logistical tasks.
AiMOGA introduced Mobo as a home companion, standing 90cm tall and weighing 18kg; it is voice-controlled.
Chery’s chairman said the company is applying technology developed for vehicles to machines that can walk and work, extending Chery’s business beyond cars.
The summit did not say when Mobo or the other new products would be available.
