Nikola Jokic names four of his toughest NBA opponents
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic named four of his toughest NBA opponents: Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Davis and Victor Wembanyama.
Jokic, a three-time Most Valuable Player, said the league has a deep pool of talent rather than pointing to just one difficult matchup.
The four players are prominent big men who compete against him in the NBA.
Jokic also named Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain and Stephen Curry as his choices for an all-time NBA Mount Rushmore.
He praised their championships, records and influence on the game, with Curry the only active player on that list.
His choices left LeBron James off the list.
The Nuggets are due to finish their preseason against the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers before opening the 2026–27 regular season against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nikola Jokic named Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Davis and Victor Wembanyama among the toughest opponents of his NBA career.
The Denver Nuggets center said the league is highly talented and declined to name just one player.
