Adam Copeland Says AEW Made Historic Venues Possible

Adam Copeland says joining AEW opened up new opportunities late in his wrestling career.

The Canadian wrestler, known as Edge during his years in WWE, has continued performing since signing with AEW in 2023.

He has wrestled in venues he once thought were out of reach, including Arena Mexico, Wembley Stadium and Maple Leaf Gardens.

Copeland grew up in Toronto and has said he watched his first live match at Maple Leaf Gardens.

He had doubted he would get to perform in such venues after returning to WWE in 2020, following a period of retirement.

The chance to achieve these childhood goals keeps him motivated, even as he finds the experiences hard to believe.

He says he is still working through his list of venues to perform in.

Moving to AEW, then suddenly that became a possibility and now, within one calendar month, to be able to check off Arena Mexico, to be able to check off Wembley Stadium, and now to be able to do Maple Leaf Gardens? That, for me, is just amazing.
