Second Ramayana Trailer Shows Rama Preparing to Fight Ravana
Sony Pictures has released the second trailer for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
The English and Hindi versions show Ravana challenging the gods and Rama preparing to fight him, but they describe Rama’s identity differently: as a man in English and Vishnu’s reincarnation in Hindi.
The film adapts the ancient Indian epic, in which Rama’s exile and Sita’s abduction lead to war with Ravana, the king of Lanka.
The trailer also shows Ravana attacking Indra, the king of the gods, and Rama fighting a giant creature with his bow and arrows.
The story’s central conflict is Rama’s effort to stop Ravana, whose power and ambition threaten the world.
Ramayana is planned as a two-part film, with the first part due internationally on November 5, 2026.
The second part is planned for Diwali 2027.
