Minisforum opens pre-orders for a $7,399 AI workstation with 192GB of memory

Minisforum has opened pre-orders for the MS-S1 MAX-P495 AI workstation, a compact computer built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor.

The single configuration costs $7,399 and includes 192GB of unified memory and a 2TB SSD.

Its 16-core processor is only modestly faster than the one in the previous model, while its NPU rating rises from 50 to 55 TOPS.

The bigger change is memory: up to 160GB can be assigned to graphics, compared with 96GB in the earlier model.

That capacity can let one machine load a very large AI model, including a 284-billion-parameter model in Minisforum’s tests.

These models use a design that activates only some parameters at a time, so memory capacity determines whether a model fits, while bandwidth affects speed.

Minisforum says shipping is expected to begin in mid-October 2026.
