Samsung and LG products named to TIME’s 2026 best inventions list
TIME named three Samsung products among its 2026 best inventions: the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator and Odyssey G8 gaming monitor.
The products were recognized in consumer electronics, home appliances, and entertainment and gaming, respectively.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra was noted for its privacy display, which is designed to protect what appears on the screen from people nearby.
The refrigerator’s AI Vision feature uses internal cameras to identify and manage food, while the Odyssey G8 is the first gaming monitor to support 6K resolution, Samsung said.
LG’s wireless Signature OLED W TV was also selected in the home appliances category.
Its Zero Connect Box holds key hardware and can be placed up to 10 metres away, helping the TV retain a thin, wallpaper-like design.
The selections recognize products from both companies, and no further steps or plans were given.
