Televisa and Fintech agree to buy AT&T Mexico for $2 billion

Televisa and Fintech Holdings agreed to buy AT&T Mexico for $2 billion.

The deal is still subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions, and the companies expect it to close in the first quarter of 2027.

The mobile business had about 24.7 million subscribers at the end of 2025.

Customers will keep their current lines and plans for now, with no automatic changes from the sale announcement.

Outstanding bills will still need to be paid under the existing terms, and any remaining balance will be managed by the new owner after the sale.

AT&T says it will contact customers directly by their registered email address or phone number if service terms change.
