Cheorwon opens 18-hole park golf course temporarily
Cheorwon County has temporarily opened a new park golf course in Cheongyang-ri, South Korea.
The 18-hole course covers about 35,000 square metres and includes parking and other facilities.
The county spent 4 billion won building it over four years, starting in 2022.
The course repurposes land that had been unused by the Army's 3rd Division as a sports facility for local residents.
About 500 people attended opening events, including two park golf tournaments held on November 6 and 7.
It will close for winter so newly planted grass can take root and the facilities can be protected.
