Man dies in apartment fire in Terneuzen
A 50-year-old man died in an apartment fire in Terneuzen, in the Netherlands, on Saturday evening.
The fire broke out in an apartment on the building’s second floor, on Diepenbrockstraat.
All residents left the building as a precaution, and they were taken to a sports hall.
Firefighters brought the flames under control at about 11 p.m., and many residents were able to return home.
Some apartments remain uninhabitable, so replacement housing has been arranged for the affected residents.
The cause of the fire has not been announced.
