Salman Khan says Ramayana should be discussed for its characters, not its budget
At the trailer launch of his film Maatrubhumi, Salman Khan said Ramayana should be discussed for its characters and scriptures, not its visual effects or reported cost.
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana opened on November 5, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi.
The film has drawn attention for its scale, visual effects and a reported budget of Rs 4,000 crore, a figure Khan questioned as the focus of discussion.
He said the epic’s focus should be Ram, Ravana and Sita, and the scriptures behind their stories.
Khan also compared qualities associated with Lord Ram to his own character in Maatrubhumi, and said he had watched Ramanand Sagar’s television adaptation of Ramayana.
Maatrubhumi will now open on December 4, after its planned November 20 release was delayed for pending visual-effects work.

I just think ki Ramayana ka charcha Ramayana ke upar hi hona chahiye – Ram, Ravana, Sita.
