Arena REIT raises FY27 distribution guidance after progress on Edge centres
Arena REIT raised its FY27 distribution guidance to 19–20.2 cents per share after progress on its properties formerly occupied by Edge Early Learning.
Edge was placed in administration in August, putting rent from 27 Arena-owned centres at risk.
Arena had initially guided to 18 cents per share, assuming it would receive no rent from those centres.
The higher range depends partly on proposed deals proceeding, including Goodstart Early Learning’s planned acquisition of 20 Edge businesses operating from Arena centres.
That deal still needs due diligence and final documents, while transfers of service approvals and leases are also required.
Arena is reviewing the transactions and deciding whether to consent to lease assignments, while selling some properties with weaker long-term rental prospects.
The outcome will affect Arena’s expected rental income and distributions, as higher interest rates have also weighed on listed property trusts.
