América faces three home matches in seven days as Liga MX leader

América leads Mexico’s Liga MX Apertura 2026 with 27 points with about a month left in the regular season.

The Mexico City club has three home games in seven days, hosting Pachuca on October 25, Tijuana on October 28 and Toluca on October 31.

The Tijuana match is a rescheduled fixture from round 7, postponed while América played in the Leagues Cup.

The run gives América a chance to add points at home before its last two regular-season matches, away to Pumas and Tigres.

América has lost once in the league and is unbeaten in its last five official matches.

Coach Guillermo Almada is in his first semester with the team after replacing André Jardine, whose side won three consecutive short-format league titles.

Almada says his aim is to win Liga MX, and América will try to strengthen its title push in these home games.

We have to keep our feet on the ground, working and improving the things that still need attention, but I really like what the team is doing.

I said it from the first rounds: when we have everyone available, we will surely grow stronger as a group, because internal competition and our performance improve, and we have been finding an upward level. Ultimately, it has brought us good results.
