Samsung’s clip-on Galaxy Buds On go on sale in South Korea

Samsung’s clip-on Galaxy Buds On go on sale in South Korea

Samsung’s first clip-on earbuds go on sale in South Korea on October 27, under the name Galaxy Buds On.

Their open-ear design lets users listen while still hearing sounds around them, which may suit people walking, commuting or exercising.

The earbuds clip around the ears and include speakers designed to improve bass and reduce sound leakage.

With a compatible Galaxy device, users can answer calls with a head gesture or record voice memos.

They cost 299,000 won, about $226, and are sold in black through Samsung’s online and physical stores in South Korea.

European listings point to a possible wider launch, with Swiss retailers showing prices of about $216 to $241, but Samsung has not confirmed an international release date.

Buyers outside South Korea must wait for Samsung to confirm availability in their markets.
