Indonesia sets eligibility rules for 2026 wage subsidy
Indonesia’s Manpower Ministry has set the rules for its 2026 wage subsidy for workers and laborers.
Eligible recipients must be Indonesian citizens with a national identity number and active BPJS Employment membership through August 2026.
Their reported monthly pay must generally be no more than Rp 3.5 million, but higher local minimum wages raise the income limit in areas where the district or city minimum wage is above that amount.
Where there is no local minimum wage, the provincial minimum wage sets the limit, with the threshold rounded up to the nearest full Rp 100,000.
The subsidy is Rp 300,000 a month for three months, paid all at once, for a total of Rp 900,000.
Civil servants, active military personnel and active police officers are excluded, while workers not receiving the Family Hope Program benefit in the current budget year are prioritized.
Workers can check details on the ministry’s subsidy website or contact its service center.
