Coolpad opens China pre-orders for wide-screen Cool X Wide phone
Coolpad has opened pre-orders in China for its Cool X Wide smartphone.
The phone has a wider 16:10 screen than the tall displays common on smartphones, giving more room to read documents or use two apps side by side.
It has a 6.38-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and up to 12GB of RAM.
Coolpad says it can run up to eight WeChat accounts at once and supports split-screen use.
The phone also has 256GB of storage in its top configuration, a memory-card slot, a 50MP rear camera and a 4,600mAh battery.
Its price and overseas availability remain unannounced, so for now pre-orders are limited to China.
