Neymar says he will take a year off after retiring from professional football.

The Santos forward has not decided when he will retire.

He said he loves playing football but does not enjoy watching matches on television, which he says make him angry.

When friends lived with him in Paris and Barcelona, he said, football was on TV throughout the weekend and he often left the room.

Neymar's contract with Santos runs through the end of this year.

Santos are due to play Bahia at Vila Belmiro on Saturday, in the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship.
