Avellino snatches late draw as Benevento concedes equaliser

Avellino and Benevento both drew 1-1 in their matches against Entella and Catanzaro.

Entella went ahead through a goal by Tirelli after Di Mario carried the ball forward.

Avellino equalised in the 94th minute, when Adamo finished a move set up by Izzo.

Benevento took the lead with a Salvemini penalty after a VAR review awarded a spot kick.

Catanzaro levelled in stoppage time through Buso, denying Benevento a win.

Benevento’s run of six matches without defeat continues, but the late goal made this draw a disappointment.

The midweek round ends on Wednesday with Juve Stabia hosting Verona at 20:00.
