Tamil Nadu offers a 10-vegetable Diwali pack for ₹100
Tamil Nadu is selling a pack of 10 vegetables for ₹100 for Diwali.
The offer runs from November 4 to 7 at 218 selected cooperative stores across the state, with four mobile vegetable shops also serving Chennai.
Each pack contains onions, tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, carrots, beans, green chillies, lemons, ginger and coconut.
Customers can buy only one complete pack, and the vegetables cannot be sold separately.
The state says the offer is meant to make everyday cooking vegetables available at a fair price during the festival.
Stores are instructed to give priority to buying directly from farmers and to provide fresh, good-quality produce.
Packs are to be prepared daily based on each store’s needs and sold on the same day because vegetables spoil quickly.
