China’s propaganda department holds meeting on party congress decisions

China’s Central Propaganda Department held a meeting in Beijing on October 29 to promote the study and implementation of decisions from the Chinese Communist Party’s fifth plenary session.

Li Shulei, the department’s minister, attended and spoke at the video conference.

The meeting described the plenary session as taking place at a key point in China’s effort to achieve socialist modernisation.

It said the decisions set out plans to strengthen party building and maintain strict party discipline.

The meeting called the decisions important for advancing the party’s work and China’s modernisation and national revival.

Promoting the session’s message is now a major political task, and propaganda and cultural bodies were told to explain, study and implement it.
