Rio court orders seizure and valuation of Renato Aragão's mansion

A Rio de Janeiro court ordered the seizure and valuation of comedian Renato Aragão's mansion over unpaid municipal property tax.

The debt is about R$676,000 for taxes from 2021 to 2023.

The property is in Pontal Oceânico, in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area of Rio, and was advertised for sale at R$18 million in May 2026.

It has about 3,000 square metres of built area, four suites, a pool, a helipad and sports facilities.

The seizure is a legal step to secure payment, not a completed sale.

An official will inspect and value the property, and Aragão will be formally notified.

He will have 30 days after notification to challenge the debt, and the mansion could go to a court auction if the debt is not resolved.
