John Steffensen returns for Aussie Racing Cars round on the Gold Coast
John Steffensen is returning to Aussie Racing Cars for its Gold Coast round after last racing in the series at the 2025 Adelaide Grand Final.
The 44-year-old won Olympic silver in the 4 x 400m relay in 2004 and two Commonwealth Games gold medals in 2006.
Several drivers are making their series debuts, including Sprint Challenge driver Kobi Williams and TA2 racer Brock Paine.
Anthony Di Mauro leads the championship by 16 points over Rossi Johnson, while teenage driver Mathew Basso arrives after winning his first races and a round at The Bend.
The round is part of the Gold Coast 500 support program and runs from October 23 to 25.
Four races are scheduled across Saturday and Sunday, with sessions shown on Fox Sports and Kayo and Sunday’s fourth race also live on 7mate.
