Selton is in line for Athletic’s Copa del Rey squad against Prat

Athletic will begin its Copa del Rey campaign against AE Prat on Thursday, with the match staged in Hospitalet.

Midfielder Selton is expected to be included after training with Athletic’s first team on Wednesday.

He made his Athletic debut under former coach Ernesto Valverde but had not yet featured under current coach Terzic.

The club is due to announce its squad on Thursday morning, and Imga is also expected to be named, while Txus Vizcay could be included.

Athletic will rotate its team, with Galarreta out because of a muscle injury and Sancet being saved for the derby against Real Sociedad as he returns from injury.

The tie is being held in Hospitalet because Prat’s ground did not meet the required conditions for the cup match.
