SafeBae launches online tool to help teens assess sexual boundary crossings

SafeBae has created Vibe Check, an online tool for teenagers who are unsure whether they crossed a sexual boundary.

The website asks users to choose descriptions that fit what happened, including whether someone was asleep or pressured.

A questionnaire then gives users an assessment and information about the situation.

SafeBae says the tool is not AI, unlike chatbots some teenagers turn to for advice.

The concern is that AI may tell users what they want to hear, leaving them with a misleading sense of whether they caused harm.

Vibe Check aims to help young people take responsibility and make amends, while reducing the burden on people harmed to seek an apology themselves.

SafeBae says the tool was developed from more than a decade of work with young people.

Either you are a terrible person — there is no such thing as accidentally causing harm, you definitely caused harm, so much that you should kill yourself — or you did absolutely nothing wrong, you are perfect and women are rubbish.
