Casio to launch premium A1000SP-7 digital watch in Japan
Casio is bringing its A1000SP-7 digital watch to Japan this November, after launches in several global markets in July.
The Japanese version is called the A1000SP-7JR and is available for pre-order.
It will sell for ¥27,500, about $174, when it officially goes on sale later this month.
The watch uses a stainless steel case and bracelet, unlike Casio's lower-cost retro models, which often use chrome-plated resin.
A sapphire crystal protects the display, while the watch keeps familiar digital functions such as a stopwatch, alarm and calendar.
It has a slim, unisex design, basic water resistance and a battery expected to last about three years.
The Japan release comes in special packaging, and the watch is set to go on sale there later this month.
