Four police personnel injured after bus hits vehicle in Ramban

A bus hit and overturned a police vehicle near Chanderkote in Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Sunday.

The vehicle had just joined the escort for BJP leader Sunil Sharma's convoy, which was travelling from Srinagar to Jammu.

Four officers, including station house officer Inspector Vicky Thapa, were injured in the crash.

They were taken to District Hospital Ramban, where doctors said their condition was stable, and they were discharged after treatment and scans.

Sharma stopped his convoy and joined the rescue effort; the police vehicle was extensively damaged.

The crash highlights the need for caution at highway crossings, and no further action was stated.
