Rings of Power Season 3 to Introduce Elros, Elrond’s Twin
Season 3 of The Rings of Power is set to introduce Elros, a character who lived thousands of years before the events of the series.
Actor Robert Aramayo will play Elros as well as Elrond, the character he already plays.
Elros and Elrond are twin brothers, born to Eärendil and Elwing in the First Age of Middle-earth.
Though both were born Half-Elven, they were allowed to choose between an immortal life and mortality.
Elrond chose to remain an elf, while Elros chose to be mortal and ruled the island kingdom of Númenor.
His line includes Isildur, Elendil and Aragorn, linking the story of Númenor to the later events of The Lord of the Rings.
Elros ruled for more than 400 years before he died, while Elrond continued to live on.
The Rings of Power season 3 is set to introduce Elros, the twin brother of Elrond.

Elros chose mortality and became the first king of Númenor.
He is an ancestor of Elendil, Isildur and Aragorn.
