Drivers stop 92-year-old wrong-way driver on Germany’s B10

A 92-year-old woman drove the wrong way on the B10 near Hinterweidenthal in southwestern Germany on Sunday afternoon.

She had entered the road at a roundabout and was travelling against traffic on the carriageway from Pirmasens towards Landau.

Several drivers spotted the danger and acted together, surrounding her car with their vehicles so she could not continue.

Their intervention may have prevented a serious crash.

Police are investigating her on suspicion of endangering road traffic, but it is not known how she came to drive the wrong way.

Police are asking witnesses and anyone affected to come forward and contact Dahn police.
