Michael Duff earns backing as Bradford City chase League One promotion

Michael Duff took charge of Bradford City after Graham Alexander left the League One club.

Duff’s first league win was a 2-0 victory over Stevenage, with Antoni Sarcevic and Will Swan scoring late.

Captain Antoni Sarcevic says Duff has lifted the mood and is making small changes to improve the team’s attack.

Former Bradford defender Matthew Kilgallon has also backed Duff, saying he believes the manager knows what he is doing.

Bradford are third in League One after three draws and a win under Duff, keeping them in the promotion race.

The club lost in last season’s play-off semi-finals and hopes to reach the Championship, England’s second tier.

The team’s next task is to turn its strong position into promotion.
