A.J. Brown's status uncertain for Patriots game against Dolphins

New England Patriots receiver A.J. Brown's status is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Brown missed Thursday's practice after a knee issue flared up, in addition to the right ankle injury that put him on injured reserve for four games.

He returned on Oct.

14 and has played two games since then.

In those games, he made six catches for 75 yards and dropped three passes, and he said he is still working to regain his explosiveness.

Brown said he was pushing through the ankle injury but was not making excuses for his performance.

The Patriots have only three healthy receivers on their 53-man roster, though they also have receivers on the practice squad.

The team will monitor his health before Sunday's game, and its offensive coordinator said Brown's return is a process.

I love his attitude and approach; he's been here working his tail off to try to put himself in a great position to help our team.
