Admiral beats Barys 5-4 in overtime

Admiral beat Barys 5-4 in overtime in a KHL game in Vladivostok on Wednesday.

The home team secured the win when Alexander Volkov scored in extra time.

Barys coach Mikhail Kravets said Admiral deserved the victory, saying his side needed to play the third period better.

Barys had conceded a goal while playing with a power-play advantage, then recovered to level the score.

The win gave Admiral two points as it wrapped up a four-game home stretch and moved closer to the Eastern Conference playoff places.

Barys was third in the conference before the game, despite losing its previous match.
