Duncan Ferguson set to become Glentoran manager

Duncan Ferguson has agreed to manage Glentoran, a club based in Belfast in Northern Ireland.

The 54-year-old former Everton, Rangers and Scotland striker has been out of management since leaving Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2024.

He is expected to be officially unveiled on Monday, after the club chose him following a search for a successor to Declan Devine, who left in September.

Former Celtic player Paddy McCourt and Tim McCann have been overseeing the team in the interim.

Glentoran have not won the league title since 2009 and missed out on silverware on the final day of last season.

Ferguson faces a 14-point gap to league leaders Coleraine as he takes on the task of making the team title contenders.
