Knoxville to host WRC’s US return in 2027

Knoxville will host the World Rally Championship’s US return from August 26 to 29, 2027.

The rally will be the championship’s first event in the United States since the Olympus Rally in 1988.

The event will be round 11 of the 15-round season, which includes the US as the championship expands its calendar.

Knoxville will house the rally headquarters, service park, team base and fan festival, while the ceremonial start will take place on Nashville’s Lower Broadway.

Stages will cross 15 counties in Tennessee and Kentucky, from the Appalachian Mountains to the Cumberland Plateau.

Organisers expect the region’s gravel roads, forest sections and steep changes in elevation to challenge drivers, while the event is intended to help grow the WRC’s presence in the US.
