Sanya and Italian port authority agree to strengthen trade ties
Sanya’s business district agreed to work with an Italian port authority to develop trade ties.
The agreement was signed online last week with Italy’s Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority.
It brings Hainan’s network of global free trade partners to 46.
The cooperation is expected to cover cruise and yacht transport, maritime logistics, business expertise and foreign trade.
The partners also aim to strengthen supply chains and support port construction and the cruise industry.
Sanya has more than 1,000 berths and 1,400 registered yachts, and the city’s yacht sector has benefited from tax changes and a higher passenger limit.
