Mexico City Metro adds security for 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix

The Mexico City Grand Prix runs from October 30 to November 1 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

Line 9 is a main Metro route to the venue, and the city is adding security and passenger guidance for the expected crowds.

The operation includes 510 city police officers and 40 Metro guards, focused on Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla stations.

Ciudad Deportiva is among the closest stations to the track, while Puebla and Velódromo offer other nearby options.

Staff will manage passenger flows and help visitors find their way, and the Metro asks riders to follow platform and boarding safety rules.

The extra measures are intended to protect riders and keep service orderly during the busy race weekend.
