Anand Dubey leaves Uddhav Thackeray’s party and joins Shinde’s Shiv Sena

Anand Dubey has joined Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena after leaving Shiv Sena (UBT), led by Uddhav Thackeray.

He joined the party in Mumbai in Shinde’s presence, along with several supporters.

Dubey resigned as a party member and national spokesperson before making the move.

He said he had been unhappy for months and disagreed with his former party’s positions on the Election Commission, SIR and working with CJP.

He also said the party had moved away from the Hindu nationalist ideals he supports.

His departure is a setback for Shiv Sena (UBT) and adds to political tensions in Maharashtra’s opposition alliance.

The reports do not say what role Dubey will take in his new party.
