Nintendo Switch 2 Gets Its First AI-Assisted Jailbreak

A modder says the Nintendo Switch 2 has been jailbroken for the first time using an exploit made with help from AI.

Video showed modified characters, including Peter Griffin and Hatsune Miku, appearing in Mario Kart World.

The hack can run game modifications and homebrew software, which could also make it possible to use pirated games.

The person behind the hack said they used OpenAI Codex, though accounts differ on the software setup required.

The exploit is difficult to use and must be repeated after each restart, so it is not yet a simple, permanent way to modify the console.

Nintendo is likely to look for firmware updates to block it, while further attempts to find weaknesses may continue.
