Valeurs actuelles unveils a new format under Charles Sapin
French magazine Valeurs actuelles has introduced a new format as it tries to relaunch the publication.
Charles Sapin, its deputy editor since summer 2026, is serving as acting editor after Tugdual Denis left on September 21.
Four political figures are joining as monthly columnists: Marlène Schiappa, François de Rugy, Noëlle Lenoir and Stéphane Ravier; Schiappa could not attend the launch because she was in Canada.
A trio of investors bought the magazine in autumn 2025, including entrepreneur Benjamin La Combe, entrepreneur Alexis Caude and billionaire Pierre-Edouard Stérin.
The magazine’s publisher, Valmonde, is chaired by Nicolas Le Gall.
Valeurs actuelles recorded €2.5 million in losses in 2025, and its new owners hope the changes will bring it back to financial balance.
