More than 112,000 bottles of Amazon-brand acetaminophen recalled

More than 112,000 bottles of Amazon-brand acetaminophen are being recalled after customers reported discolored tablets.

The recall involves 500-milligram extra-strength caplets sold in the United States in bottles of 200, 500 and 1,000.

Aurobindo Pharma USA initiated the voluntary recall in coordination with Amazon and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA has not assigned the recall a health-risk classification, and no injuries or adverse health effects related to the discoloration have been reported.

The recall covers three bottle sizes and multiple lots, with expiration dates in 2027 and 2028.

Amazon has contacted customers who bought affected bottles with information about refunds.

Customers can check their orders and product lot numbers on Amazon's website to see whether their bottles are included.
