Hyderabad police told to identify auto driver filmed watching a movie
A Hyderabad auto driver was filmed watching a movie while driving, with two phones in view and headphones on.
The video was sent to Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, who said the behaviour put passengers at risk.
One phone showed navigation, while the other played a film, according to the video description.
Sajjanar said driving this way could count as dangerous driving under the Motor Vehicles Act, potentially bringing a heavy fine and action against the driver’s licence.
He urged passengers to challenge drivers who use phones or wear headphones, and to call 112 if they do not stop.
Sajjanar said he had asked traffic police to identify the driver and take legal action; no later outcome was reported.
