Saudi domestic non-oil exports rose 8.5% in August

In August 2026, Saudi Arabia’s domestic non-oil exports rose 8.5% from a year earlier.

These are goods produced in Saudi Arabia, excluding oil and re-exported goods, and their value reached about 18.3 billion riyals.

Total merchandise exports still fell 11.5% year on year, mainly because oil exports declined.

Re-exported goods also dropped sharply, while plastics and rubber made up the largest share of non-oil exports.

The trade picture differed by comparison: exports rose 3.3% from July and the surplus widened that month, but the surplus was down 21% compared with August 2025.

The United Arab Emirates was Saudi Arabia’s largest export destination, followed by South Korea and India.

The figures are preliminary, and the data do not say what will happen to exports in the coming months.
